    »Persona« ist eine Koproduktion von Festival de Danse, Cannes und Sasha Waltz & Guests, Berlin

    »Detail« ist eine Weiterführung des Bühnenstücks »Persona« von 2+, das im Jahr 2005 uraufgeführt wurde. Die Videoinstallation zeigt Momente der ursprünglichen Aufführung, die mit Video- und Tonmaterial aus der Recherchephase zu »Persona« vermischt wurden.
    Zusätzlich zeigt 2+ zwei tänzerische Auseinandersetzungen mit Architektur. Die kurzen Loops in Video-Clip-Länge beschreiben eine fließende Symbiose aus Tanz, Video und Architektur: »Nach dem Palast ist vor Dem Palast« (2004) wurde von Sasha Waltz & Guests produziert und im Rahmen der Zwischennutzung des Palastes Der Republik in Berlin gezeigt. »Druck« (2006) entstand im Zusammenhang mit dem Tanzkongress 2006 »Wissen in Bewegung«.
    2+ arbeiten als Kollektiv: Der Videokünstler Philip Bußmann, die Dramaturgin Célestine Hennermann und der Tänzer/Choreographe Christopher Roman entwickeln aus ihren jeweils eigenen Arbeitsfeldern heraus Projekte, die thematische Überschneidungen aufweisen – die Projekte können modular verschoben werden.

    Die Installation «City of Abstracts» des Choreografen William Forsythe lenkt das Auge einer Kamera auf die Bewohner einer Stadt. Eine überdimensionale Leinwand zeigt Bilder ihrer Bewegungen durch die Straßen. Ihre Geschwindigkeiten und Richtungen, ihre Wege, gewunden oder geradeaus, werden zu einem Tanz spiralförmiger, gestreckter Körper, verschwindender und wieder erscheinender Köpfe.
    Die Straßenszene verwandelt sich in ein wallendes Tableau, das Passanten dazu einlädt, eigene Bewegungen anzubieten und gibt ihnen währenddessen die komplexe, unbemerkt gebliebene Choreografie zurück, deren Teil sie bereits sind.

    Choreographer William Forsythe’s installation, «City of Abstracts», turns the eye of a camera on the people of a city. As they move through its streets, onto its trains, as they pause on its sidewalks, their image is projected onto a giant screen. Their movements and pauses, velocities and directions, the straight and curved paths taken become a dance of spiraled, stretched bodies, of vanishing and re-appearing heads. The street scene is morphed into a seething tableau that invites the passersby to offer movement, as it feeds back to them the complex un-noticed choreography in which they are already engaged.
